Work platforms provide workers with a stable structure to work on top of, enabling access to a variety of access tasks. While safety cages act as forklift add-ons, modular access systems can function efficiently on their own, suiting a whole range of access needs. At Team Systems, our selection of safety cages, safety harnesses and modular access systems ensures that workers can safely perform tasks at elevated heights. Our warehouses are located in Dandenong South (VIC), Campbellfield (VIC), Wetherill Park (NSW), Hindmarsh (SA), Canning Vale (WA) and Yatala (QLD), making us reliable providers of industrial work platforms throughout Australia.

Ensuring Your Safety with Our Industrial Work Platforms
There are a few things to keep in mind when using work platforms in your work environment, in order to best maintain workplace safety and productivity. Firstly, your employees should always perform a safety check before using a forklift personnel cage or access platform. This involves inspecting the inward swinging self-closing gate, checking the locking pins and bolts and verifying that the unit has been assembled correctly. Secondly, before first using your forklift safety cage, it is recommended that you perform a test lift to check that it is safe to use. Thirdly, the person using the safety cage should already be inside before it is raised and/or lowered. Where possible, they should stay standing at all times, avoid climbing in or out once raised and refrain from using items such as ladders to gain extra height, as these all could disrupt the safety cage’s stability. Fourthly, unless the safety cage is fully enclosed, the user should always be attached to an anchorage with a safety harness. Finally, avoid using your work platform near live electrical equipment. By following these precautions, you and your workers can maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
